Have a patient over from the US who informs me his daughter is taking part in a final trial for RFID chips which are being targeted to all those in receipt of welfare, healthcare and workers in all government and state employment. Is this for real?

    "OMG. It's S-A-T-I-R-E folks"

Only know what I just found via google. Apparently lots of satire on the subject being taken as true. From government workers to an entire town in Wyoming being "tested"...of course this doesn't mean that one day we won't all have a chip, but I guess not anytime soon.
At lease I won't have to carry my wallet around.

  3. Brilliant! I can see Gold Chips, Platinum Chips and Welfare Chips. Soon after therapeutic chips marketed under a medical breakthrough - feeding your vital information through to a central health hub which would then dispense whatever meds you need. Or don't. Perhaps in time the chips can be programmed to switch us off - permanently - whenever we need to curtail population growth. Utopia c'est non?
