The FAQ's have been updated to include a section on the Events Calendar.

    FYI:
    The Events Calendar
To better serve the Podiatry community, Podiatry Arena has the Events Calendars. There is Global one and another for each country. The Global one is also repeated on the sites home page.

Finding your way around the calendar
The best way to get to the calendar is to use the events link in the navigation bar at the top of every page. From there you can navigate to whichever calendar interests you.

The default view is the current month. The day; week; month; or year views can be seen by using the links in the top navigation bar of the calendar. Days with events can be clicked on to get more details of each event. Also on the top navigation bar of the calendar, next to the link to change the view, is the link to add new events. Members are encouraged to add new events, but PLEASE follow the rules.

At the bottom of the calendar are the menus to change to a different month. Beneath that is a jump menu to view other national calendars.

Adding a new event to the events calendar
Podiatry Arena members are encouraged to add events to the events calendar.

To add an event, please navigate to the correct calendar. Click on the link for Add New Event and you get 3 options:

    Single All Day Event
This if for a one day event. Give the event a title and after a semicolon, list the city. Use the drop down menu to get the correct date for the event. In the body include details of the event (just like posting a message in the forum). Include as much information as you wish about the event. Include a link to a web site if appropriate.

    Ranged Event
This is for an event that is longer than one day. Give the event a title and after a semicolon, list the city. Use the drop down menu to get the correct start and finish dates for the event. In the Choose Time options, its simpler to specify a start time of 9.00AM on day one and a finish time of 5.00PM on the final day from the drop down menu. You can safely ignore the time zone stuff. In the body include details of the event (just like posting a message in the forum). Include as much information as you wish about the event. Include a link to a web site if appropriate.

    Recurring Event
This is for an event that recurs at specific intervals. Give the event a title and after a semicolon list the city. Use the drop down menu to get the correct start and finish dates for the event. In the Choose Time options, its simpler to specify a start time of 9.00AM on day one and a finish time of 5.00PM on the final day from teh drop down menu. You can safely ignore the time zone stuff. Then specify the recurrence pattern. In the body include details of the event (just like posting a message in the forum). Include as much information as you wish about the event. Include a link to a web site if appropriate.

Depending on the calendar, a moderator may have to approve your listing, so please be patient for a day or two. On some occasions a moderator may amend to listing to fit in with the style of the site or correct any mistakes.

Please only use the country specific calendar; Podiatry Arena staff will copy events to the Global Calendar.

    Event Calendar Rules
    Please follow these guidelines:
Please post events in their country specific events calendar

In the title, just name the event and then after a semicolon list the city of the event. Eg use this format: Conference Name; City.

Please do NOT do anything to make your listing stand out; we want this kept neat and tidy and will edit any events that try this.

Website links are allowed in the body of the message.

Please include as much information as you can.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
