    Welcome To Podiatric Success www.PodiatricSuccess.com

As I have had the tremendous honor to travel and meet countless fellow podiatric physician thought this country, I have learned a tremendous amount of information that is often found isolated in specific geographic areas. Many of us tend to communicate within our local world, county meetings, and state meetings. Larger geographic communications seems to be limited to what has been in a written format (journals, news blasts, etc). This got me to thinking that there must be a better way. I, like a lot of you have no extra time in each day; and that the thought of adding anything else is overwhelming.

This left me with two problems. An ability to design a way that doctors from all over the country could communicate and share ideas and not take extra time from my day. Then I had a GDO (gosh -darm -obvious) moment. Using my cell phone and still getting my exercise, my driving and some paperwork, can accomplish this with NET time (No Extra Time).

All topic are open for discussion. SO please mark your schedules. Each week Masters will be interviewed and you can participate and listen live or down load each lecture for FREE.

    Please share your suggestions.

    Michael Miller, DO
General surgeon, Dr. Michael Miller was on top of his game Tuesday night as he “filled all the holes” in the world of wound care. Tidbits and tricks were flowing so fast I am sure you will need to listen to this lecture a few times and have pen and paper ready. I am going to make some changes in my practice from what I learned, as I am sure you will also. One of the products he mentioned that I have received a lot of requests for information is Amino-Plex.

Have you seen all the Videos?

    Economy Be Smart & Ready

In this 10 minute video recorded live in Jaunuary 2010, Dr. Ribotsky (in the 2nd of several videos soon to be released) shares the Economy, what is really going on and how to prepare your practice and finances for the balance of 2010. Since this recording, many of his predictions (based on pattern recognition) have come true. You owe your financial security to watch what Ribotsky is sharing, or face the painful consequences.

    Crisis Anticipation
This 6 minute Video is something everyone needs to listen too.
Dr. Ribotsky shares (in the 1st of several videos soon to be released), the Seven Pillars
that each physician needs to be prepared for and ready to deal with
    or face the painful

    Business is a Sport !

    (There are winner and loosers)

In this video (3rd in the series), Dr. Ribotsky uncovers what many doctors think they know, but their training as a physician gets in the way. Business is a Sport! and as such someone needs to loose. As doctors we are trained to always seek a win-win outcome with our patients. When it comes to business the rules are different. If you buy (____fill in the blank___) and you sell it at a later time, you either make money, or loose money. That means the other person has the opposite experience; a Winner and a Looser. Learn the theory in this 26 minute video that can really give you edge in future business ventures.

    RE: Ribotsky Videos
    From: Nicholas Sol, DPM, MBA

I've just watched Dr. Ribotsky's short three video series: The Economy, Crisis Anticipation, and Business is a Sport and I'm recommending them to all DPM's. I've had the good fortune to attend several of Dr. Ribotsky's lectures over the years, and I've always come away with "pearls" to use in my practice. These videos are free but they're worth paying for. This was the most productive 40 minutes I've had in a long time. Thank you, Dr. Ribotsky. Well done.

  8. HI Bret Ive listened to a couple of shows - but maybe something to consider might be a bit more of an international input.

I understand that it maybe be a bit harder for you but by focusing on the states only you maybe missing alot of really great interview people and listeners from overseas.

    Just a thought.

    Michael,
You are absolutely correct. I’m thinking of a process to deal with the time zone issues. Craig Payne is going to see if Skype works. If not, maybe doing these at off times and replaying them on Tuesday nights ???? I am open to all ideas. Please send me a few names of those whom you think would be good guests to PodiatricSuccess@gmail.com
    Thanks again,

Allen Selner DPM started as an engineer and became fascinated with the mechanical aberration of the human foot. My first knowledge of Dr. Selner came from my patients. Allen was featured on a TV show call "The Operation" on the Lifetime network and the topic was Bunion Surgery. That piece brought more patients into my practice for surgery then almost any thing I have ever done. When I was in LA for a meeting over ten years ago, I was introduced to Dr. Selner by Dr. Jack Morgan (previous master). I learned that Allen's passion for life and podiatry along with the knowledge that his medical practice which was performing 40 bunion surgery's a month made Allen someone I needed to learn from. Years have pasted, but there is not a day that goes by when the infomercial staring Allen (which has sold over 7 million orthotics) is not mentioned by a patient. Please join me to learn from the incredible Podiatrist who has touched so many lives

    "The Great Podiatry Story"
    Tonight at 9pm (edt)

    George Vito, DPM

    ACT 2
Dr. Vito will try to describe the legal exploitation of medicine and how the plaintiffs attorneys will to stop at nothing to achieve one goal, and that is to obtain Money for there client. There is no right way or wrong way in the combat of a mal practice case. Each case is different with many different twists and turns. There is no such thing as a jury of your peers, and that the legal system is not black and white, but a vast area of grey. Dr. Vito will try to explain to the best of his ability, the circumstances and consequences of his most recent encounter with the Federal court system, and how ones assets are never truly protected, no matter what ones attorney or CPA may suggest. And finally, winning or losing a mal practice case is not the issue, but the collateral damage that the physician must deal with as soon as the case is presented to the carrier to its conclusion.

    George Vito, DPM
    [IMG]
Dr. George Vito shared with us those unique distinctions that lead him to the pinnacle of our profession. George is a gifted surgeon and lecturer who has spent his career sharing with all of us, and nurturing many as we stretched our minds and skills. As a result of a surgical case involving limb lengthening that, as a result of patient’s direct intervention lead to poor result, a malpractice suit was tried and Dr. Vito was vindicated. The plaintiff’s attorney challenged the law in Georgia regarding podiatrists doing cosmetic surgery. The Georgia courts ruled that DPM’s could NOT perform cosmetic surgery. The plaintiff then re-filed the law suit and won as Dr. Vito was practicing outside of the scope of his license. As a result the Malpractice carrier did not cover the damages, and Dr. Vito was left with a 3.9 million judgment against him. Dr. Vito was very well asset protected with cross collateralization and he filled bankruptcy. The federal court judge felt that Dr. Vito’s asset protection was an alter-ego and ordered him to sign over all his assets or go to jail. Dr Vito spent 6 months in county jail, until George’s two year old son’s, mother, developed a terminal medical condition, that made George sign away everything he had in exchange for his freedom. This heartfelt touching story that Dr. Vito shared with all of us, is something EVERYONE MUST listen to. Take home lessons, “There is no such thing as asset protection”, and “Family is what is most important in life” are learned.

I am currently logged in via Skype listening to the current one (started 11.00AM Australia time!). Tried it on the laptop and the iPad and both worked. It is really clear.

For Skype, i use a $15 a month service that allows me to call landlines anywhere in the world for unlimited calls (really good when I away a lot). Using this allowed me to log in to the dial in number for Meet the Masters live.

The only problem I had from both the laptop and iPad was keying in the access code. Even though I got it right, it told me it was wrong, so had to do it 3-4 times before it was accepted.

Close all the Podiatry Schools !!!

Dr. Joe Agostinelli was in true leadership form last night. With thirty years of experience and 23 years in the Air Force he shared his views of our profession. Joe was very bold when he suggested that podiatry close all the podiatry schools and really start the metamorphosis that is needed. Joe called for the creation of Podiatry / Foot & Ankle specialty training after graduation from Medical School. Dr. Agostinelli, felt there is zero chance of medical parity unless we start with the basics and make podiatry a sub-specialty of Allopathic Medicine. This is an hour that needs to be on your must list……..
