Exciting New Study on Possible Etiology of Children's Asthma

  2. Mothers and fathers, if you want your children to not get asthma, be sure they are exposed to the dust from farm animals?!

    Very cool new study on the causes of children's asthma just published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

    Innate Immunity and Asthma Risk in Amish and Hutterite Farm Children

    Maybe we should be encouraging our children to play in the dirt, not wipe off their pacifiers that hit the ground, kiss their pet animals, etc. This is yet another study that suggests that early exposure to antigens in childhood may protect the individual from various diseases in adulthood.
