At an EMI unit earlier today, I had one patient who flatly refused to get out of the chair. "Up you get" I said cheerily. The immediately response was, "Who are you calling a git?" and he swung a punch. The care home staffer assigned with me promptly did a ROFL.

And no - this is not invented from the Bumper Book of Podiatry Jokes - it really did happen.

    Anybody else share anything similar?

    Not quite the same but,

regular Pt. half way through treatment announced she didn't have enough money to pay me, I suggested next time will do.

She then went on to tell me the bus was early so she had to go to the caf? next door for a coffee and a bacon butty.

So that's why she hadn't got enough money!!!!

    Second one ,

few years ago had a middle aged Downs, with carer, for routine treatment.

after I had finished he asked me if he could kiss me " with tongues" . I was absolutely horrified especially when the carer thought it was a huge joke.

I refused to see him again, not his fault, the carers.
