Good News, the Mt Isa role is live again!

    Hi,

    We had a locum role in Mt Isa available a few weeks ago. It was actually pretty popular and there were a few people interested after the closing date however good news! We have another role there now so we are accepting applications again.

    11 weeks of locum work, up to $42 per hour + Super, Free flights and free accommodation.

    Deets below:

    • Work with a large team of allied health staff
    • Stay locally in free accommodation
    • Visit indigenous communities and travel via light aircraft to remote locations in rural Queensland.

    Summary

    Locum Podiatrist required to start work immediately, full time, at a rural multi disciplinary provider of healthcare. Established team of podiatrists, OT’s Physio’s and other allied health staff. Temporary accommodation provided free of charge and travel costs reimbursed.


    About the company.

    An established practice that services the rural area in the North West of Regional QLD. They provide support clinics in and around regional areas that have limited access to health care. This means that caseloads are varied and can involve work with a variety of patient groups of all ages and conditions. They are relied upon to provide a service and a bridge/pathway between public and government health.

    About the role.

    You will work as part of a team working clinics for a diverse population. You will see a range of conditions and work remotely. A car, accommodation for the duration and flights are available for a suitable applicant. You will see patients with diabetic foot conditions, nail care needs and wounds as well as other varied conditions, given the nature of the demographic.

    Duties

    • Utilizing a patient - centered care approach to patient consultations
    • Applying health coaching principles to patient management
    • Initial patient assessment in rural clinics
    • General treatment procedures, including management of diabetic conditions, wounds and nail care

    Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry)
    • AHPRA
    • Registration with the Podiatry Board
    • High risk patients
    • Independently working as a Podiatrist
